Life in JROTC isn't easy. The cadets of NC 943 Riverside AFJROTC's drill team endure grueling challenges and devote themselves to intense training sessions, to ensure the best possible performances during their State and Regional drill meets. We follow Bryan Martinez, a senior and one of the leaders in JROTC, through a journey that took him to achieve great things with Riverside and beyond. Enlisting into the Marines, his story is a unique combination of determination, maturity, and love. This project is an attempt to capture stories like Bryan's, coloring the beautiful kaleidoscope of experiences that make up the JROTC family.
I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to work with Major Bailey, Master Sergeant Mitchell, and all the cadets of Riverside AFJROTC. I am continually inspired by your teamwork and strength, and I hope that these photographs will help you remember these wonderful memories and lessons that will serve you well in your lives in and beyond Riverside. A special thank you to Bryan Martinez for graciously accepting the request to be photographed, and for sharing both your time and energy to contribute to this project. I wish you success in all your future endeavors, not least with the Marines. Thank you again Riverside for this great opportunity to serve and learn from you!
